Hi everyone ...

I'm about to embark on the CCNA/CCNP certification and wanted to
get your recommendations on equipment to study for the exam(s).

I was considering purchasing a couple of 2500 series
routers and a 1900 switch for this first step(CCNA).

Any thoughts on this? There's lots of this stuff for sale on Ebay
2501/ 2600 etc..

What would you recommend for a hardware setup?

THNAKS in advanec!!!!

3 2501 (or 2503) are plenty for CCNA. You may also want to look at a 2520
which can be used as a frame switch as well.

Make sure whatever router you buy has an ethernet interface so you can hook
it up to your PC, avoid the token ring ones. Also check it has the correct
IOS for the feature set you need. I foolishly ended up with a 2502 Token
Ring router, and there was no IOS to work the serial lines, pretty much a
big paper weight!
