Here is the official Cisco answer:
"Cisco is proud to announce that we currently have over 500,000 certified
individuals in our growing Career Certification Program. This number
includes all individuals worldwide certified at the CCNA, CCDA, CCNP,
CCDP, CCIP and CCSP levels of Certification, as well as the Cisco
Qualified Specialist focused certifications. Cisco Systems does not
disclose the break-down of the total number of individuals who have
completed different Cisco certifications."

Please note, however, that if you are a CCSP, then you have three specialest
designations: VPN, Firewall, and IDS, so it's not really 4 people certified,
it's one person certified 4 times. I'm sure some of Cisco's other
certification tracks are the same; so saying 500,000 people is probably
"misleading".
Cheers!

Ah, so the 500.000 is the certification count?
So my CCNA and my 2 CCNP exams counts for 3?

Depends on how they did their count, by People or Cert's but from the
writing it sounds like they went by people
