I do not know if this is the correct newsgroup to post this question, but I
could not find another that seemed more appropriate, so here it goes...

I have a Cisco 1721 with G.SHDSL WIC connected to a 2Mb DSL connection. My
ISP told me (before buying the hardware!) that this would work. Now I have
come to the following problem (and my ISP delays answering any of my
support calls):
The details of my ISP state that I should use:
- Protocol: PPPoA
- Modulation: G.DMT
- Encapsulation: VC MUX
But the Cisco SDM software does not allow me to configure that, and gives
me only PPPoE and two variants of RFC1483(?) as options - although it is
stated in the doc's that this PPPoE option might be "PPPoE over ATM", this
does not work. The line status goes up, but nothing comes across the
line...

Can anyone provide some insight whether it is possible to configure the
1721 with the connection details as provided by my ISP?

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
