Author CCNA, HyperTerminal and Transcender 3.0 Question

Just completed the Thompson CCNA course and am now working on the
Transcender 3.0 prep.

A lab excercise on the Thompson course has you configure Windows
Hyperterminal to access the router console port (our labs use 2600
series routers). Recommended setup is:

Port = Com1
BPS = 9600
Data = 8
Stop = 1
Parity = None
Flow Control = Hardware

HyperTerminal sessions work just fine on the routers.

On the Transcender test, they ask the same question so I configured
the simulator with the above values and it was scored as "incorrect".
Their answer was Flow Control = None. I haven't tried to access the
router with the Transcender configuration.

Will both work? Why does Transcender score my solution wrong? Are
there more "gotchas" I need to be wary of on the Transcender?

It should be 8/N/1 and No flow control. Console port lacks the lines to
to do hardware flow control.
