I am taking my CCNA in a few weeks, and thought I would brush up with
ts'g with the Boson v4.15 simulator today. After going crazy trying to
get a 5 router/2 pc config working (imported), I resorted to just two
routers with one serial connection. After show cdp neighbors didnt see
the neighboring router (note...these are working config files from the
schools lab), I noticed the .rtr files I imported were missing some
config lines. And mentally going back to class and realizing my new
configs had no clockrate set (though in my initial one it did), I
attempted to set it....what am I missing here? Output below...

Lab_A#config t
Lab_A(config)#int s 0
Lab_A(config-if)#no shutdown
Lab_A(config-if)#clock rate 56000
Lab_A(config-if)#

But when immediately check the running-config, nothing, no clockrate
shows its been set for s0. I saved the config, reloaded, same thing,
shows no clockrate for s0. Help.

Another quirky thing is that it has s0 set as
encapsulation frame-relay
when I go into s0, and give the command in config mode (for s0) of
no encapsulation frame-relay
it gives no errors, I save the config, reload, and sh run, and again,
it shows encapsulation frame-relay for s0.

What gives? (using v4.15 btw)

My initial config file for router #1 is below (but for some reasons
when either issueing, or manually placing into the .rtr files...any
'no' commands, they go unrecognized). Or maybe I am just learning
there is no substitute for the real thing! lol

Glad I started sooner rather than later.....

Anyone who can give me a few hints or exchange some emails with me to
get the Boson sim up, I would really appreciate. If you email me
wanting a copy of the Boson sim, kick rocks.

Thanks!
