Author Which Router?

I am embarking on the CCNA cert, with a view of building my own lab.

I see in previous posts that I need 2 2501's and a switch (1924 or 2924).

A client of ours is selling 2 2503's. Can someone tell a n00b what the
difference is and should I stick with the 2501's?

TIA

The 2503's will be fine.

2501 & 2503:
-2 serials
-1 ethernet (AUI)

2503 has 1 BRI S/T interface also

(but in fact, for your lab, it's the same thing)

the 2503 comes with the extra ISDN BRI connector on it. In my opinion, it's
the better option as you have access to aditional config menus inside of the
IOS. Extra practice can't hurt. Check to see what the Flash and DRam
configuration is on the router. Also look at what IOS level you have. You
will need 16/16 to be able to run IOS 12.1 I believe. Also see what flavor
of IOS you have. Enterprise is the best (c2500-js-l.121-xxxx.bin )
