from frustrated students:
remote access lab : running wic-1am on 2621xm when calling in
modem will not answer at all is this a modem problem or config
problem can mdem be rest to original specs if registers are corrupted?

You can reset the modem by reverse telneting to the modem and issue AT&F
command to reset (Hayes modem)
Can also power cycle the modem.
