Hi,

Is it possible to connect three 100Mbit switches with only two
cross-over cables? Is the 3rd cable needed or just recommended?
eg

1-2-3

rather than

--1-2-3--

If I understand well, you are creating a loop with that 3th cable.
That's not so good !

Hi,

Depends if you use Spanning Tree. If so, run more lines, if not, run less!
