| A PC itself is a TE2 device, the expansion card you use to connect to the
line is a combination of a TA and NT1 in most cases.
The PC is only the CPU, Memory, BUS and Disk. Everything else including
expansion cards are external to the PC.

| A TE2 device could be any device. It will connect to a TA and there
will be the R reference point between the TE2 and TA. A TE2 could be a
computer that is connected to a TA through the serial port usually
using an RS-232 or V.35 cable to connect to the TA.

| Any terminal, pc, fax, whatever, that does not support Q921/931 signaling
can be considered a TE2 (non-isdn).
