Author Help with Cisco ? A quick question?
Hi

On my network one segament about every 2 weeks seems to be unable to
talk to the dhcp server. I can manually assign a ip to a pc & get on
the network & ping anything but I can not get a ip from dhcp until i
run the "clear ip dhcp bind" command. Any ideas/suggestions? ( There
is nothing unusual in the error logs & yes my lease is 14 days, the
other 2 segments are fine) Thankyou

Just a guess here, do you have enough IP addresses to cover everyone that is
leasing from that DHCP server?

I've seen something like this with the portfast command not being utilized
on switch interfaces with newer NIC's.
