The only materials for this test is the new SECUR class. You can
still take the MCNS exam, it expires at the end of September. That is
the way to go, IMO.

Thanks for confirm my suspicions. I need to recert on my CCNA and the
new SECUR exam would accomplish that purpose whereas the MCNS does
not. I think I'm going to take the new CSPFA (642-521). This also
qualifies to recert the CCNA and CiscoPress has material for it. I'll
come back to SECUR in a month or two. Maybe they'll have new material
then.

my understanding is that you must get the CCSP to recert the CCNA.

I *just* got out of a bootcamp for the CCSP. None of the tests were a
cakewalk, though SECUR was the closest to the course material. I work
with PIX's on a daily basis, and that was a -rough- test. IDS, on the
otherhand, was pretty straightforward. 'SAFE' was just lunacy. I
squeaked by on the one with an 835, 825 to pass.

lemme know what you wanna know. I won't violate the NDA, but I'll tell
ya what I can.
