Keeping alive 128k ISP connection Cisco 801
|

| Hi,
I've just installed a Cisco 801 with a bridged real IP multilink 128k ISDN
connection to Demon Internet in the UK. The connection drops every 5
minutes or so. What I would like to do is keep both ISDN channels up for as
long as possible.
Ideally I would like to also make it redial the connection automatically
should it disconnect as well. I have tried a keep alive util on a server
but its not really working.
If anyone could supply me with a dialler profile or advice on how to do this
properly, I'd be greatul.
Yours Hopefully
Miguel

Cisco has quite a few examples on how to do this. But to keep your
dialer up, just may IP interesting. Or you can make NTP as interesting
traffic and let ntp run.

Or you can activate a routing protocol on the link, that will keep your ISDN
active.
