Is there anyone who can give me a clue where to find a newer release than
11.2
It's only for education purposes. The Cisco web-site is quite a jungle, I
think.

Whether it is educational or not, you still must buy the proper license from
Cisco. They are pretty cheap for an IP only pack. Otherwise, purchase a
Smartnet agreement for your router, and you will have access to all the IOS
upgrades.
