Let's hope that someday when he does climb the learning curve, he'll be more
accommodating to those he deems lower on the totem pole than himself. I've
been doing this a long time - so long that I've developed a high tolerance
for those further down the learning curve than myself. I don't always reach
down to help them up, but when I do choose to toss them a bone, I typically
don't go out of my to make them feel bad - it just doesn't make me feel like
a bigger person. I'm not motivated by ego, though. I realize some people
are...

Perhaps we should suggest he use the password-retrieval utility, FDISK, if
he has any further trouble... Hopefully, he'll be far enough up the learning
curve to get the joke and enjoy it.
If you can't laugh at and with yourself, check to make sure there is no
stick lodged in your butt. If there is no stick upon inspection, then set
the pucker factor down a few notches...
