I'm traning for the CCNA certification exam and need a little help
with supernetting.

I have 168.142.32 /18 and need to split that subnetted address into
two more subnetts. For two subnetts I'll need to borrow four digital
bits.

168.142.001 00 000.0
168.142.001 01 000.0
168.142.001 10 000.0
168.142.001 11 000.0

Is the first and the last subnetts in the exampel above unusable
subnetts? Is always the first and the last host/subnett unusable in
the Cisco world? For me, the first and the last subnett looks useable.
