Author Question about frame relay

Can someone help me with setting a frame relay using 3 routers? I have set
it up and the PVC's are active, but I can't ping thru the frame switch. On
the routers that are not the frame switch, the map shows the dlci as
deleted. Here is my frame switch setup.

version 11.3
service timestamps debug uptime
service timestamps log uptime
no service password-encryption
!
hostname R6
!
!
no ip domain-lookup
frame-relay switching
!
!
!
interface Ethernet0
ip address 172.16.17.40 255.255.255.0
no keepalive
!
interface Serial0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
no ip mroute-cache
no fair-queue
clockrate 64000
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 107 interface Serial1 105
frame-relay route 120 interface Serial1 121
!
interface Serial1
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
clockrate 64000
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 105 interface Serial0 107
frame-relay route 121 interface Serial0 120

Router 5 cannot ping the switch.

Thanks,
Frank

It seems that you've config interf serial 0 to route FR traffic serial
1 and vice versa.

Anyway, have you used some commands such as show interface ping
127.0.0.1 at the switch interfaces to check IP protocol running status
?

Finally, how is your routers - switch connection configuration ?

[snip]

See comp.dcom.sys.cisco (search for it google). Brian Morgan gave a
step by step instructions in setting up a FR switch.

That should read "See the FAQ for comp.dcom.sys.cisco...."
