!
My old 640-507 CCNA exam did not include
'ip subnet zero' in it's subnet questions.
!
The Cisco BSCN book I have (isbn 1-57870-228-3)
now uses 'subnet zero' in it's table's, therefore throwing
the network numbers up by 2.
!
I know it was omitted for old third party gear
which couldn't understand 'zero' subnets.
!
Is this the standard now?
!
Thanks.

I don't know if I'd say standard, but it's definitely available if you need it for your addressing plan.

Others might diagree, but we try to avoid it where I work. With all the rfc 1918 addresses available inside our network, we don't need it.
