| Hi,
Is there a Cisco device/router with a built in modem? I am looking to
eliminate 1 piece of hardware. Would like to have phone cord go from wall
jack directly to the cisco router etc.. instead of from wall jack, to modem,
then to aux port. Thanks

I don't know if this fits exactly what you want, but you can buy the WIC-1AM
or WIC-2AM card. A router with this card could therefore be considered to
have a 'built-in' modem. It's not really built in, because the modem is on
an expansion card, but the point is that since that card is inserted into
the router, that means you don't have to deal with an external modem.

If this is for a terminal server application, that would work. It won't
work for out-of-band use since it doesn't give you console access.

| Hi.
Thanks for the input/help. I am not looking to manage the router, just want
to have someone dial in, and then route out the gateway to the network.
Thanks all for the help and feedback.

Depending on your density, the AS5x00 series might be a better fit.
