| THe 642-871 Exam is in beta right now until May 30th. The live exam should be around June 26th last I heard.
Good luck finding any ciscopress books on the exam until July at the earliest I would imagine. Best resource is CCO documentation and go over the objectives of the ARCH and the CID exam and that would cover most of your bases.

| Just because Cisco retires the old arch exam doesnt mean that you
shouldnt read the older books Solie's CCIE and Halabies BGP bible are both 4
years old and is still read and reread fer recert even though there are more
recent cisco press publications.
I am actually looking for top down network design from Oppenheimer c1999
because I hear great things about it.
To keep current just find out what there adding to the new test and read it
on cco. 80 to 95% of what you need to know will still be in the old books.
also the comer books on tcp/ip are very good too even though the 2nd edition
is like 3 years old as well.
These books will educate you first and prepare you for you exam in the
process = 10x more beneficil than scouring the latest and greatest press
book and exam cram.
