Do you have enough extra memory for the new IOS? If not, you will have to
delete the existing IOS to make space. Make sure once you delete it you will
not reload the switch without an IOS because that will take you to the ROMMON
prompt. Once you delete the old one just TFTP the new one and then reload the
switch. Before you reload the switch make sure there is no BOOT command
pointing to the old IOS. If there is then delete it. If you have more than one
IOS in your Switch make sure you add a boot command pointing to the right IOS
or delete all except the one you want to use ....and no need for boot command.

If for any reason you get to the ROMMON prompt one way to download an IOS is
using XMODEM from console.

Good luck !!
