Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations for ccie r&s books, specifically ones that
will be adequate for the qualification exam and the lab.
Also, are the boson tests of a similar standard to the exam ?
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks
Jon

Hi,
You need the Doyle volumes 1 and 2 for definite. The Halabi book "Routing
Internet Architectures" is a must have. Switching is a bit awkward at the
minute since the IOS based Cat3550's are in use and there isn't any book for
these per se. However, the kennedy/Clarke Cisco Lan Switching is very good.
These books were the cornerstone of my CCIE preparation and I can quote you
them word for word practically. You also need to spend HOURS on cisco web
site. Remeber, there is MUCH more to the routing and switching CCIE than
just Routing and Switching. You need to be on top of QOS, voice, multicast
and many IOS features as well.
Best of luck,
S
