| If you can't afford the 3550, then just get a 1912 or 1924 enterprise to

If you can't afford 3550 , don't do ccie because it's the cheapest L3 switch
and that's what's tested, It's simple as that.

| True enough for switching. But do be aware that you'll need to enable
routing for certain vlans and interfaces. You cannot do this on the 1924
platform. Also there are a lot of switching features you need to be
familiar with in order to pass the lab.
