Author Question of Directly Connected

Hello everybody !
i have a strange incident on my network :
i have a 7500 and another router connected to it serial 2 serial .
i can reach my interface IP but i cannot reach the serial that is Directly
connected to it !
i DO reach any other addresses behond this directly connected . Meaning - I
can reach their LAN addresses .
i would appriciate any help with this issue

Couple of things come to mind.

Usually, it's the near side interface that cannot be pinged. Also,
Cisco routers will send the ping packets to the far-side and bring it
back when you ping a serial interface.

Do you have any ACLs? Can you post the configs from the two sides?
