Latest Cisco806 IOS version?
|
|
|
| Here's my 806's IOS version:
Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software
IOS (tm) C806 Software (C806-O3SY6-M), Version 12.2(4)YH, EARLY
DEPLOYMENT RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Synched to technology version 12.2(7.1)T
TAC Support: http://www.cisco.com/tac
Copyright (c) 1986-2002 by cisco Systems, Inc.
Compiled Thu 23-May-02 22:34 by ealyon
Image text-base: 0x80013170, data-base: 0x807432E4
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(4r)XM2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: C806 Software (C806-O3SY6-M), Version 12.2(4)YH, EARLY DEPLOYMENT
RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Cisco806 uptime is 106 days, 44 minutes
System returned to ROM by reload
System image file is "flash:c806-o3sy6-mz.122-4.YH.bin"
I wonder since it's an 'early deployment release software', if I'm ...
entitled to the latest deployed version?
Hooboy, I know how to tftp new software to flash, but finding the
latest version on cisco's site is like trying to find a needle in a
haystack!

| What you have is NOT the latest version. This is the latest version:
c806-k9osy6-mz.122-13.T1.bin
You are NOT entitled to the latest IOS image (free) by virtue of
ownership of your 806. You can download the latest version only if you
have a Cisco CCO account, and you can get it here:
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Softwa...i?majorRel=12.2

| So how much is an IOS upgrade? Cisco's damn site is entirely too hard
to navigate. I log in with my CCO number, then click to another page,
and I'm required to re--enter the number.
