| What is the difference between the 2520 and the 2521 Cisco routers. Are the
"low-speed serial(sync/async) the same as the regular serial ports on all
2500's. I have 3) 2503's with two serial ports - are the low-speed ports the
same.
Can I use the 2521 as a frame relay switch without any additional cables and
configurations.

| The only difference between a 2520 and 2521 is that the 2520 has an ethernet
interface, whereas the 2521 has a token ring interface. Both will work
great as a frame-relay switch as long as you dont need more than 4 devices
hanging off your frame cloud. If you do, then I suggest a 2522 or a 2523.
The low speed ports on the 2520, 2521, 2522, and 2523s will only allow a
clock rate up to 115,200. It really shouldnt make a difference in your CCxx
home lab.
