Hello!
During my study for the ccna exam I have found a question, that I don`t
understand:

Which of the following comparisons is made by a switch when deciding whether
a new MAC address should be added to its bridging table??

a.) Compares the unicast destination address to the bridging or MAC address
table
b.) Compares the unicast source address to the bridging or MAC address table

b.) is correct. Why??? In my opinion the destination address is important
for the entry in the MAC-address-table????

Thanks for comments

b.) is correct.

Switches learn the MAC addresses of their attached devices from the source
MAC address.

Destination MAC addresses aren't learned. The are looked up in the bridge
table to determine the port to forward them out.
