| HP Procurve Switches 2650
4-24 port switches
30 vlans per switch capable
#2, 3, and 4 switch connect to #1 switch through trunk lines
All ports on switches in seperate Vlan's
#1 switch is connected to router which is connected to T1 and static IP from
ISP.
dhcp server on router with network 10.0.0.0/8
computer boots up on switch #2 port 1 (vlan1). Receives IP from router
(10.0.0.2). It cannot communicate with other ports on switches since they
are all in different Vlan's. Computer on switch #2 port 1 (vlan1) requests
URL - google.com. switch #2 forwards request to #1 switch through trunk
connection. Switch #1 forwards request to router. Router strips layer 2 and
forwards request based on layer 3.
Can Anyone see anything wrong with this scenario???????????????
