Why does the PIX IOS command set and interface have to be so friggin
different than Router IOS. I spent 10 minutes try to re-enable a PIX
interface after changing some IPSEC tunnel config. Sad thing is...this is
the second time I had a brain fart restarting a PIX interface............
DOH!

Because its another case of we liked the product so we bought the
company. Cisco bought the original PIX of someone else (cant remeber
who) so its command set was not originally Cisco's. Gradually it gets
more and more like IOS, the funny thing is the nearer to IOS it gets the
more the differences begin to annoy me. Probably something to do with
when dealing with older PIXen the brain saying it isn't IOS get over it
and deal with it but with newer PIXen becoming confused by the
similarity (the reversed masks in access-list particularly drive me
potty).
