Windows NT4 Client logging onto its Domain Server

| Any one know how I can get a windows nt4 client to logon to its Domain
controller with two routers in the way?
all I can do at the moment is log on with cached credentials

| Are you using a WINS server, if take a look at adding entries to your
LMHOSTS file for your DC's.

You will need a local WINS proxy...

| WINS proxy will not do it in this case. A WINS proxy is used for non WINS
clients to connect to a WINS server, for example any OS without a
configurable WINS option in its IP properties.

Does using DNS override this ?? the clients are mapped by thi method wins is
enabled though mainly for the exchnge servers??

| You just need to add the IP address of your WINS server into the ip
configuration of the workstation
