| Hello,
Im am really a newbie I know almost nothing about cisco routers. I
have some networking background but the extent of that is Network+ and
Server+. I recently purchased a Cisco 7000 router… MY question is what
do I need to be able to use that router as a CCNA,CCNP and CCIE lab? I
only need it for the CCNA, and CCNP now.. I know I will need more
equipment for the CCIE.. But here is a List of what was included with
the router…
Cisco 7000 Series Router
Route Processor Board
Switch Processor Board
Ethernet Interface Processor Board
HSSI Interface Processor Board
FDDI Interface Processor Board
It has AUI ports for Ethernet.. Where do I get a transceiver to
convert the AUI port to RJ-45? And I do not have the 16meg flash for
the IOS.. How do I go about obtaining this?? I have seen the Cards on
sale. But I don't think they include the IOS.. I maybe way off so
please correct me.. Basically I just need a nudge in the right
direction.. I need to be able to set this up for my home lab.. thank
you….
