I came across these in one of my study guides. Can anyone help with these
questions? I would really appreciate it.

Which protocol is used when connecting to a 5000 or 6000 switch via a modem
(Which protocol should console port be configured for)
PPP, SLIP, Telnet?

Which statement about ethernet is true?
a. CSMA/CD technology is not used on switch ports.
b. Cabling for Fast Ethernet is limited to UTP and fiber optic
c. Full duplex operation increases Ethernet transmission speed.

What are two benefits provided in VTP version 2 but not in version 1? Pick
two (I figured out one of them, can't get the other.)
a. Supports token ring VLANS *
b. Allows VLAN consistency checks
c. Saves VLAN configuration memory
d. reduces the amount of configuration necessary
e. Allows redundant links when used with spanning tree

Do dynamic VLANS require a VLAN membership policy server?

There is a question that came up about CEF being supported on different
switches. Would I be correct in assuming that only switches with a L3
module support CEF. Any L2 switches wouldn't.

A question was asked about which switches support inline power for phones.
We are running 3500, 4000 and 6000 all with inline power. Does anyone know
if the 5000 supports inline power?

PPP - involves IP negotiation, which the switch does not do, False
SLIP - Serial Line IP - Looks like this one
Telnet - Telnet is an application protocol, not a Link protocol, false.

a. CSMA/CD technology is not used on switch ports
Ethernet transparent bridge means same client protocol is used, so this
is false.
b. Cabling for Fast Ethernet is limited to UTP and fiber optic.
Switch ports can be UTP or fiber optic, uplink modules can be UI
c. Full duplex operation increases Ethernet transmission speed.
Full duplex increases throughput, but not the physical bit speed,
false.

> b. Allows VLAN consistency checks - Checks for possible errors.
