I have been searching Ebay for 2500 series routers, and have a few
questions. I'm sure you you have heard it all before.
1. What bootstrap versions are acceptable? Are there any significant
differences between 11.0(10c), 11.0(10c)XB1, and 11.0(10c)XB2 ? Are older
revs to be avoided ?
2. I have noticed some 2500's have Bridging software X.25 Version 2 and some
have Version 3. Is this important ? Will this change when I upgrade the
IOS, or is this in ROM ?
3. Do processor and circuit board rev numbers matter ?
Thanks in advance

Anything in the 11.x bootroms will be fine. The older ones won't recognize
non Intel flash and could cause problems. If you have access to newer IOS,
then the IOS that comes with the unit won't matter much. Legally speaking,
you can't transfer the IOS anyway. Also, you should have 16MB of flash and
16MB of DRAM (shared) memory.
#3 doesn't really matter all that much.
