I am preparing to take this test, and wanted to know if any one had
any tips on taking this test, I am studying the Cisco Press book for
the test

I used the Cisco Press book along with a router with IOS Firewall to prepare
for the exam. The concepts of VPN and Firewall is the same for IOS Firewall
and PIX, they only differ in configuration commands. As far as I can
remember, the questions are pretty evenly distributed among the topics.

One note, I found that because I really studied hard for this test; I had no
problem studying and passing the Advanced PIX and the VPN test.

Thanks,
I took the advanced pix, and the VPN test, and I did well on them
I am kind of going in an odd order for my CSS1,
VPN
PIX
MCNS this is next then
IDS

I worry about the MCNS, due to the breadth information covered in this
exam.

It is kind of like RTFM

No but seriously, it stands for Managing Cisco Network Security.
