| Having a complete brain meltdown...After creating a vlan interface on a MSFC
and creating the vlan on the switch, there is something that needs to be
done to match the two...I am losing my brain...I get a VlanXXX is down, line
protocol is down, message on the MSFC...

There's nothing you need to do. 15/1 will automatically truck the vlans
from the CatOS to the MSFC.
Make sure you have something plugged into activate the VLAN in the CatOS
side.
Or you can take CCIE8122's advice and turn this feature off completely.
(where you have to have an active port for the VLAN to come up)
He posted the answer a few days back.

You might try on the msfc
int vlanXXX
no sh
I'm thinking when you create a vlan interface on the msfc it's shutdown by
default but I can't remember for sure.

| Correct, the new vlan is shut by default. You must no shut it before it will
work.
