| Hi All,
I'm going to pursue my CCNA certification and probably CCNP later on,
and would like to know which routers I should buy? if you know of a
site that lists the suggested routers please post.
I've seen these on sale, are they good?
2 Cisco 2501 Routers, 16D/16F, IOS 12.2(x) Enterprise/Firewall Plus
IPSEC 56
1 Cisco 2502 Router, 16D/16F, IOS 12.2(x) Enterprise/Firewall Plus
IPSEC 56
for the above, are you 1600 series enough
1 Cisco Catalyst WS-C1912 Switch with Enterprise Software
2 Ethernet Transceivers
1 Token Ring MAU RJ-45 8 port Hub
1 Token Ring Media Filter
1 Ethernet 4-Port Hub
1Ethernet NIC for your computer.
1 Token Ring NIC for your computer
thanks!!

| Dont waste your money on the token ring stuff. It's been removed from the
CCIE lab exam so I dont think it would be a good investment
anymore...however, you can certainly find token ring stuff for VERY cheap
these days, and layer 3 is layer 3, so if money is REALLY tight, it might
not be a bad route (no pun intended) to go. (Kinda of contradicted myself
here, didnt I?) If you want to discuss it further, feel free to give me a
call, my # is in my sig.
If you are looking for a good CCNA kit with 2501s, check out our website,
we've got some good deals:
