BGP routing question

| in a situation where there are multiple redundant routes with BGP, does BGP
use the router with the highest ip address (loopback), the lowest address,
or the does it use the AS #? I was under the assumption that it uses the
highest loopback address but i ran into some literature that claimed
otherwise
any input?
thanks

| With _everything_ else being equal, BGP will choose the path with the
lowest neighbor address (as configured with the neighbor command).
Read http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/459/25.shtml for more detailed
information, as there are lots of variables that can influence the
decision.
