How about a different Lapel pin for early achievers?

Because it is very rare for me to show my wallet card to every one I know,
or when go to job interview. The better way is to put a different Lapel pin
with the "early achiever" status on it.

I hope, Microsoft will do something to differentiate low level certs and
high level certs.

Have a look at this link:
http://groups.msn.com/MCPCommunicat...ewmcplogos.msnw

One of the MCSDs is actually complaining about how Microsoft has "unified"
the logo and how those logos does NOT differentiate MCPs with different
levels of certs. But I think most MCP doesn't want to be "unified".

Hope to hear your comment on it.

I think anyone who actually wears their lapel pin or carries around their
card in their wallet needs to get a life.

I have actually used the wallet card once. When I was at the Professional
Developers Conference, they were giving out free t-shirts for all MCSDs (as
if there's not enough t-shirt givaways at conferences already...). One guy
walked walked up in front of me and told them he was an MCSD and he wanted
his shirt. They wouldn't give it to him because he didn't have any proof he
was an MCSD. I then whipped out my wallet card and got my t-shirt. True,
the other guy could have gone and printed out his transcript and gotten his
t-shirt, but it just felt nice to be prepared.

Outta tatoo it on your damn forheads, then the hr people know not to hire
you. We want real programmers, not some VB flunky. And no, I don't respect
VB.net either.

What's wrong with using the Lapel pin or Wallet card? You'll be a fool not
you use them.

What are you suggesting? Speak out to everyone that you are "MCSD"?

How unprofessional...

And be clear, the topic we discussing here is about Logo designs. Not,
whether or not to use them.

No I wouldn't want to do that. That's the whole point we are discussing here
about logos so that they will attach nicely on our clothes. Not like you
putting tatto on your forehead like an wild animal.

If you're not an employer, your statement is worthless. Even if you are, it
is still worthless because it just your opnion peiece. Nothing more.

Who are real programmers? What are the measures?

A good programmer should never be paranoid about one language. In the real
software developement, using just one language is never enough. A mix of
different languages must be used for different parts of the project. And it
certainly shows that you are not a good programmer.

Who cares about what you respect? I don't.

Absolutely.

The choice of 'programming language(s)', if defined, is a process
constraint; not a functional or non-functional requirement of the
system to be built.

i used mine a few times, this local strip club was giving free lap dances to
mcse's, this guy claimed he was, but couldn't produce the evidence. i was
the only one in the club with my card and not only got free lap dances all
night, but admission into the vip area.

lol! One in the eye to those who say ms certs are worthless!

Are these open to all mcse's as 'premium benefits'?

You don't really think that do you?

There are many good programmers out there, they just don't fall into
the 20 something cert chasing crowd. Good programmers spend years
learning the craft, and are not quick to jump on the MS bandwagon
when they update their software. Besides Borland Builder is way
better then Visual C++.

actually i do think that...

the ideal would be where you wouldn't need a manual. the software should be
obvious..
in software terms we are still pulling carts with oxen.. we have a long way
to go..

if your gran can't work it from the get go.. then it's no good.. if u know
what i mean
