I recently completed the course for the module on
administering a sql 2000 server, and took time off to
revise for the exam. I got a score of 609 which wasnot
good enough to pass. My question is, how can i now
improve on my re-take, if i dont know what questions i
got wrong, i dont know how many questions i got
wrong...surely, microsoft should let us know. I am in the
process of registering with test king to get some
practice questions from them. Do any of you have tips on
what i can do to pass this mcp.

Thanks in advance

If that was the first exam you've done, one thing to remember is that with
most MCP exams they tend to have far more information at the beginning of
the question than you actually need to answer it. Go straight to the actual
question first, and find out what is required, then glance at the answers,
much of the time you can eliminate some immediately.

Then knowing what is required, plus the differences between the answers, (eg
if each question has four parts, a,b,c,d, and part a is the same for all the
answers you know that has to be correct and can ignore working out that part
of the question) find the information you need to answer the question.

Saves you from wasting time reading information which is irrelevant.

Thanks mate.

When i did the exams, i could eliminate some of them, but
with some of them, i recognised i had harder questions
and did not know which was correct answer.

Get the self-paced study guides from MSPRESS. then review
part two of the book. The Objective Domains these will
give you allow you to drill down on specific weakness and
shore them up... Read the answers after answering the
question then review the correct and incorrect responses.
You can learn as much fro the inncorrect answers as the
correct maybee more. I earned more when a procees crashed
and burned than when it went right.
