test 228 / 229 difficulty?

| Hi new to this group ~ I've been attempting MCDBA with a
little frustration. Ive taken 228 twice and failed ~ I
passed the four core MCSE with little difficulty and my
fails on 228 were with 1 & 2 answers.
i've been looking at 229 and frankly it seems easier,
also seems like alot of 228 material is covered better /
more completely in 229 training material.
Do people who'v completed the cert think that 229 was an
easier test? I'm alittle spooked now but i wasnt to get
in there for 229 before retaking 228 again?
What does anyone think?
thx

| Good luck to ya, but I personally found 229 MUCH more difficult than 228.

| As a lot of questions are answered, the answer is it depends. Have you done
any programming or database design? If you have extensive experience in
those two realms you may find 229 easier, however, being you passed the
other MCSE exams so easy I would think you are more of a GUI/admin person
and would have more trouble with 229. I have about equal experience in admin
and design and I thought the 229 was more straight-forward and in a sense
easier.

| I think it's worth studying for both exams together.
The order in which you take your tests should not matter too much in this
case.
I decided to take the 229 exam first, as I felt more comfortable with the
material.
I have passed 229 (a couple of weeks ago) and will be taking 228 on friday.
I found SQL Server Bible quite useful for getting to grips with SQL Server &
it was much more interesting than the MS Press certification books I read.
Good Luck!
