Exam 70-019: is there a replacement coming?

All the documentation states that Exam 70-019: Designing
and Implementing Data Warehouses with Microsoft SQL Server
7.0 is going to be discontinued in June of 2004. Is there
going to be a replacement exam? How about an exam for SQL
Server 2000? I would like to learn more about data
warehousing and hopefully be certified, but I don't want
to waste my time studying for a test that is going to
vanish in a few months.

| If you want to learn data warehousing there is an excellent book by Ralph
Kimball called the data warehouse toolkit.
I don't know of MS's plans on updated warehouse exams.

| There won't be a SQL Server 2000 version of 70-019. No decisions have been
made yet of the SQL Server Yukon exams.

If I pass Exam 70-019 to qualify for my MCDBA, will my
MCDBA expire when Exam 70-019 expires?
In general, if you pass a test that earns you the MCDBA,
is the certification invalidated if that test expires?

related to business intelligence.
