have no prior experience although i have knowledge in
other database's management. I downloaded sql server 2000
trial version for 120 days , is it possible to sit for an
exam 70-228 i need some guidelines as i have little access

Any advice is welcome

| If you do not have experience in SQL Server but have experience in other
DBMS, I'd recommend you to go for 70-229 SQL Server exam because it asks you
more on T-SQL (dialect of SQL-92) and relational database design...etc.
70-228 asks you more on "using" MS SQL Server.

| I agree, I have passed the 029 and the 229, and the 228 gave me trouble. And
I have lots of experience in SQL, just not with raids and low level
performance issues. You will need to really study if you do not have the
background. But the 228 is not required for MCSD, just for MCDBA is that
your track?
