You say you can't afford a simple home test lab?
Consider:
1-Eval copies of W2K Prof and W2K Server can be had for
free.

2-W2K Prof and Server will run adequately on machines all
the way down to 200-300Mhz CPU speed, with 192MB of RAM
(128 if you're really cheap!)

3-Old PII machines can be bought or built for cheap!

C'mon...no excuses...slap together some old iron and get
your hands dirty at home...it is possible, for less than
you think! (If you're SERIOUS, email me and I'll send you
AT LEAST a hard drive, a NIC and some RAM)

(and don't say nobody never gave ya nuthin')

Good Luck

I am also thinking to take the MCDBA, however, frankly speaking, I don't
quite understand how the other guys can finish one exam from studying to
sitting the exam in 2 months.
I just think you can finish reading the book in a month by reading it daily,
5 hours a day. But one time is not enough, at least 3 times. How about the
practical ? I think the practical is the most important one as this gives me
the real screen or situation that the exam may be asking about.
May be my reading speed is slow and I am not talent enough to finish and
understand the book within a month.

Practical knowledge is must. Try to do these things practically. You should use knowledge base articles and lab practices for these exams. Try free lab practices at www.certsbraindumps.com.
