| I've worked developing/administering SQL Server db's and
front end applications for the past 5 years. I'm starting
to see that I really need this certification to move
forward.
What's the best (ok, fastest, easiest, and cheapest) way
to get this accomplished?
Thank you .

| It won't be a popular answer in this newsgroup, but if you are new t the
certification process, I recommend a boot camp. For those who have the
experience I think boot camps provide a benefit in that they saturate you in
the MS objectives and introduce you to the sometimes bizarre world of
reasoning that exist in certification exams.
I reiterate, I only recommend this option for those who have the real world
experience to be confident in their skill set.
For what it's worth,

Work with the product, which you have done,
and read and study the product documentation,
aka BOL (Books OnLine) which you already have,
to learn the Microsoft terminology related to using SQL.
It doesn't get any faster-easier-cheaper-better than that.

| I would have to recommend cheating for you. (pure transcenders) I had never
even been in the industry before I got my cert. I got certified the legal
and honest way through lesson plans from books and transcenders. Then, once
in the field, I realized that alot, not all but alot, of my knowldege was a
joke. The concepts were pretty right on. But how to actually do things was
out in left field. 5 years of knowledge is great. You know lots more than
the books will cover. Memorize the answers( from legal sources, of course)
and you should be set.
