Author Failed 70-228

I have just failed 70-228 for the second time and I am looking for some
inspiration.

I only need this to be an MCSE and this is the only exam I have failed. I
have not changed my study routine (which is to read the Microsoft Study
guide, Readiness review and BOL whilst working with the product both @ work
and home) but some questions I get I have read very little about.

Does any body have any suggestions for books and practice exams that I could
take a look at.

Thanks

Gary

Sorry for that.
May be you need to change the way you study.
I just passed 70-229 using
- BOL
- Inside SQL Server 2000
- Transender

Try to get transcender if you can afford it.

And it doesn't hurt to have some experience with SQL Server...

Hi !

Same situation for me... but I failed this exam for the first time on Nov
12.... This exam was my 5th exam and the first I have failed..... I have
passed 210-215-216-217 on first attemp....I have not change my styde routine
too... Sybex, SQLBOL and Transcender.... I know which part of the exam was
harder for me... but I can't find any information (real life example) on
that part (tuning performance database with indexes, updating datatype
column, etc....) Transcender have only very few example on that (approx. 10
questions)

Can someone help me ?

Hugo

I would suggest you to read the book "Inside Microsoft SQL Server 2000" by
Kalen Delaney (ISBN 0735609985).

This book covers the internals of SQL Server and is written for advanced
developers and DBA... It describes in details how SQL Server stores data in
the disk, and provides you the knowledge you need to optimize your data
storage and organization.

Cheers,
Paulo.
