| Sat both exams back to back & passed both - 695 on core & 605 on OS. Could
have done better on the OS!!
I studied by watching the 8 Nr Learnkey A+ cd's (pre 2003 upgrade format),
and the 4 CBT Nugget cd's, 2 of the old format & 2 with the 2003 upgrade
material. I also had a copy of Testking's A+ exam questions - quite a lot of
which came up in the exam. If you're clever, you will know where to get
these for a very low (cough!!) price. I have no books on A+.
A few things I wasn't expecting were :-
Core
2 questions about the POST error 'beeps' & what they meant
One question about how many SATA drives could be installed on a channel
2 questions about firewire printer interfaces
OS
One question about IPSec
A question about XP core files & their boot order & which are operating
system files - very confusing
A few tricky questions about locations for implementing tasks - you gotta
watch exactly what they are asking!
Other than that it was as expected. Took 90 minutes total for both.
Roll on the MCSE!!
