I'm having a problem with a Western Digital / OfficeMax rebate.

On "Black Friday", OfficeMax (OM) had a WD 200 gig hard drive for $49.95
after several rebates, one of them $60.

They are denying those rebates -- not just mine, but apparently a lot or
all of them. In some cases (my case) they say that the UPC label wasn't
sent in (when it most definitely was), in other cases they say that the
UPC that was sent in didn't qualify for the rebate. [I believe that
this is the case / cause of them saying to some people that the UPC
wasn't sent it, even though one was.]

I'm speculating here, but it seems to me that the rebate house has a
systemic problem, that a valid UPC for the item in question isn't in
their rebate validation system, hence those [valid] rebates are being
rejected.

I've written to the rebate house, and I will contact Officemax shortly.
I have copies of EVERYTHING, including the UPC label (which is also
the serial number label, and it matches the drive itself).

Anyone else having this problem? (It's so early that you might not know
it yet.)
