One workstation, using Win2K, running multiple programs, crashes several
times/day. The following is the complete error message on the 'blue screen'
prior to rebooting:

Beginning Dump of Physical Memory
Stop:0X0000007A (0XC02FFE48,0XC000000E,0XBFF92
FA2,0X00D8A860)
Address - bff92fa2 base at bff83000
Date Stamp 3e89d599 - atapi.sys

Any ideas on what is going on here ?

need more info for a proper diagnosis, but can be a failing drive, a bad
cable, faling or too small power supply, mismatched or incompatible IDE
controller drivers among others.

Did this work for a period of time, then start the crash? Anyting new been
added? How drives is the comp using and what MB/CPU combo?

Is This the only symptom? You'll find many hits if you search for
'Stop:0X0000007A'.
