HP 3330 MFC Default Problem

| Hi All,
A client of ours has a new Dell machine running XP home with a HP 3330 MFC
printer. When the printer was set up all defaults were changed to A4 fro
Letter. and this works perfectly for all machine based apps. However, this
client does a lot of printing from their Head Offices Web sit using Internet
Explorer (ver 6).
The problem is that when they try to print a document from IE, it always
defaults to Letter not A4, so they change the page size to A4 (and hit
apply, etc.), and that document then prints correctly, but when they then go
to print another doco, IE immediatly reverts back to Letter (and so they
have to change the page size everytime they print)
I don't know if this is the right News Group for this, but I tried the HP
support & News Groups and they were no help at all. So any help would be
appreciated.
Cheers,
Grant

Hello, Grant. If you aren't able to control the page size from Internet
Explorer (File -> Page Setup... then make sure that "letter" is chosen as
the default), you may want to check the printer properties. Go to the
Start menu, choose Settings -> Printers, right-click on the icon for the
3300, and select Properties... In the dialog box that pops up, find the
tab labeled Paper Size (or something to that effect). If it shows Letter
as the default size, then it's something else...I'd blame Microsoft
Hope that helps!

| Tried all that... Funny thing is this only happens on the HP 3330, not other
printers... Thanks for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Grant
