Author A+ questions ...

Here's the deal ..
I'm using Simulation Exams 3.0 to test myself b4 I get the actuall exam ..

Two questions I ran into drive me nutz ..

1st: When it comes 2 CDs, which colour book complies with Audio standard ?
Red, yellow, white . .. orange ..

So, I answer Yellow .. because in my book ( A+ certification training kit by
MS Corp )
it clearly says it is in fact a Yellow Book standard when it comes 2 audio
...

The Simulation Exam says my answer is incorrect .. it's in fact a Red book
standard ..
????

Ok .. so I move along and bump into next Q:
Which of these processors is trully 32bit ?

386DX, 486 DX, I586 ....

So .. I say 386DX ( 32 bit registry width, 32 external data bus, 32bit
address bus )

And again, SimExam says I'm wrong .. it's actually the 486DX !

Now .. all you ppl who took the actuall exam, please tell me ... Are there
crap questions
like this when taking the real thing or not ?? I'm totally confused and a
whole lot less confident in myself ...

Thnx . .

Nickoteen,

The Red Book defines the CD-Audio standard (more precisely, CD-DA) and was
the original standard from which all other books derive. Yellow Book
incorporates the Red Book standard and goes beyond audio, defining the
standard for CD-ROMs.

On the other hand, the 386DX was definitely Intel's first 32-bit processor.
As you pointed out, it had 32-bit data and address buses and 32-bit
registers. The big improvement offered by the 486DX was SRAM cache on the
processor (and higher clock speeds, of course).

So Sim Exams were right on one count but not on the other. The A+
certification exams will be accurate.

Cheers,

Scott
