Hi.

On Win98SE one could change the startup/shutdown splash screens by
editing logos.sys and logow.sys.

Could anyone please tell me how to go about this in Win XP Pro?

Thanks

Fred.

The XP splash screen is embedded in the kernel. You can hack it but probably
should leave it be. Here is an article that describes the procedure. Be
careful editing ntoskrnl32.exe.
